Rogier Landman

Research Scientist

PhD, Neuroscience, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands

Rogier is studying the role of social cues in guiding visual attention, and the brain circuits involved in it. This in collaboration with Jitendra Sharma (Sur Lab). Previous work in our lab has shown interactions between the visual cortex and prefrontal cortex during attention, but social attention may involve other areas such as the superior temporal sulcus, orbitofrontal cortex and amygdala. He currently investigates the extent to which sudden appearance of faces interferes with an attention task. Rogier is also involved in other collaborations with the Sur lab, including the study of the relation between social stress and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) levels, as well as 2-photon imaging.
